Parkers Riding Centre is an established Riding School based just outside the Lake District on the outskirts of Cockermouth, Cumbria. The Centre boasts a range of well mannered, and capable riding Horses for all level of rider. With a 20x40m riding area, and access to a huge 40x40m outdoor arena, a course of new poly jumps, poles and cavalletti blocks, plus flood lights, allows for training all year round, and caters for those who enjoy flatwork and/or jumping.

The Riding Centre is licensed with Cumberland Council, is fully insured with no age restrictions and runs with a qualified team of experienced instructors.

    Accounts and Administration

    Carol works in the office, ensuring the smooth operation of admin and accounts. Carol is available to answer any queries and assist with bookings.

  • Rebecca Parker 
    Senior Instructor / Yard Manager

    Rebecca is in charge of the daily care of the Horses and management of the Yard. She carefully selects Horses suitable to the needs of the Riders. Rebecca is Senior Instructor, holding Level 3 Coaching and Trek Leading qualifications.

  • Rachel Parkers EquestrianRachel Parker 
    Senior Instructor   

    Rachel has Level 3 qualifications in Horse Care, Riding and Coaching. She also has Level 3 teaching and assessing qualifications and so contributes to delivering the training sessions/courses at the Riding Centre.

  • Hannah Winder

    Hannah (formally an apprentice of ours), has successfully achieved Level 3 Horse Care and Riding Standards, along with the Level 2 Coaching qualification. She is heavily involved in the teaching, and progression of our clients.

  • Bethany Burns 
    Bethany is our Yard Groom, who focusses her attention on maintaining standards on the Yard. She teaches the stable management and Tiny Pony Time sessions, as well as leading out beginner treks on foot. After completing the Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship with us, she now holds Level 3 Horse Care and Riding qualifications
